We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Mostly on woodland tracks and across farmland, after leaving the village of Colden Common we need to cross the busy Main Road, but the walk is otherwise rural and quiet. Some paths are muddy but on the pre walk were all easily passable but walking poles are useful if you use them. A gentle climb takes us to Owslebury for a pub lunch or picnic nearby (more details below). The distance is shorter than on a normal Thursday to allow walkers to attend the Winchester Group AGM from 3 pm. Toilets are available at the start of the walk in the Community Centre.
There will be a lunch stop at The Ship Inn, Owslebury and the pub requires a pre order on Tuesday 18th Nov., so please look at the website and give me an order by 5 pm on that day if you wish to eat at the pub.
