We are the Taunton Deane Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A six mile circular walk starting from the Maypole Inn at Thurloxten. The walk is undulating with a couple of steady climbs and some nice views. We walk through lanes, field and woodland paths, hopefully seeing some bluebells, passing through Gotton Copse. There wasn’t much mud at all on 19 April but there was one stream to cross and there are several stiles.
The Maypole Inn will be open at lunchtime but closed when we finish the walk. For those wanting lunch before the walk there is a good selection of set price meals at £10 which are quite generous!
Parking is available in the lanes behind the Maypole Inn. Or in the pub car park if you will be calling in for refreshments.
