We are the Grantham Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We cross the River Nene by the old bridge and follow the Nene Way across water meadows to the village of Yarwell. We make a detour across the fields to view the lock. At Yarwell Mill we stop for a coffee break where there is a coffee shop with delicious cakes. We continue along field tracks to the village of Nassington where we can view the Prebendal Manor House. Returning to the Nene Way we follow the track to Woodnewton Road which we cross entering a byway to New Sulehay. Here we will stop for lunch.
Following the byway, (similar to the Viking Way) we continue past Old Sulehay Nature Reserve.
We join a lane going past the disused quarry then follow the track through Old Sulehay Forest before accessing the road back into Wansford.
