Overview

A strenuous walk bagging the summit of Alphin Pike ( c1600ft) , following Saddleworth Edges to Chew Reservoir and returning via a gentler lower level route. We will NOT visit Dovestone reservoir.

The route along Saddleworth Edges will be very boggy after rain.

Total ascent just under 2000 ft. Stunning views in good weather. Awkward underfoot in places.
