We walk through Altrincham and continue to and walk through Hale Village. The terrain is on good paths along the River Bollin and is flat with 2 easy gradients from the wooded Bollin Valley.
Other than Altrincham and Hale village, the walk is very rural. The one road through Ashley is through farmland.
There are no stiles. The valley paths can be muddy after persistent rain. It is dog friendly.
Part of the route is on a quiet road with approx 150 yards without pavement. A private road with distant views of the Pennines to the East takes us to another section of the Bollin Valley before making our way back to Altrincham.
There are no toilets or refreshments available on the walk and a packed lunch is advised. We will stop for a while for lunch. There is a pub on the route which is easy to access toilets.
The main object of our walks is fresh air, exercise and the sheer enjoyment of walking with good company. For more on what to expect please follow the web address below.
