Alwalton Social Walk

A social, accessible, family friendly walk for all. We set out along the 'green' path through Orton Wistow to pass by Overton Station on the NVR arriving at the Ferry Meadows Visitor Centre for toilets/refreshments followed by a circuit of Overton Lake which brings us to the Lakeside visitor centre for more toilets and our lunch stop.  After lunch we loop round Gunwade Lake before walking back along the high southern bank of the Nene to Alwalton.  Drinks at the Cuckoo afterwards for those who are interested.

The whole walk is on good paths with options to miss out one or more of the lakes either spending longer in the visitor centres if desired rejoining the group at an agreed point or making their own way back to the start.
