Overview

Starting from Apedale Herritage Center we head towards the outskirts of Knutton and then on to the greenway path towards Silverdale Country Park. From there we then go over to Scot Hay and through Scot Hay cricket club, drop down into Bateswood Country Park, where we will be stopping for lunch. Its then through Podmore Woods up to the Gresley Arms for refreshments and then head back down into Apedale Country Park. Dog friendly, three fields in all may have live stock. Packed lunch required.

Parking is at at Apedale Heritage Centre, Loomer Road, Chesterton, Newcastle Under Lyme ST5 7LB Note : the post code takes you to Loomer road. You need to continue to the end of Loomer road where the road turns right into Apedale Park. Then follow the road round until you come to the Visitors Center, parking is on either the left or right.
