Overview

This walk starts in Armathwaite, to enjoy the paths through Coombs Wood and ascend across fields with extensive views to reach Ruckcroft.  Field paths and a quiet road lead to Ainstable.  Descending from the Church over fields and then along the River Eden to reach Armathwaite.
