Ups & Downs around the village of Thornton, covering both sides of the valley. Good views on a clear day. Paths, fields, roads through Hole Bottom, along the former railway and across Thornton viaduct, through houses at Egypt, on to upper Pikely, over Pitty beck and back.
Several stiles to navigate
Maybe cows along the walk in some of the fields
Historic area, the early home of the Bronte's, Les Kellet used to have a cafe on Thornton Road (what a character), Bradfords famous Trolley Buses had a terminus at Thornton, a disused railway line along with a famous viaduct all feature in Thornton area
Boots recommended as is a good packed lunch and a warm drink
Layer up, its prime winter time
