We are the Glasgow Young Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join Glasgow Young walkers for a 6 mile flat walk along the Ayrshire Coastal Path.
Meeting at Barassie Railway Station at 12.40 pm, we'll walk along Barassie beach into Troon (2 miles, 45 mins) where we'll pick up some snacks/sandwiches from the local Morrisons store and then head to eat lunch at Troon South Beach - there are benches and grass by the beach, so we don't need to sit on sand !
We'll then walk for around 4 miles along a mixture of beach and coastal path past Royal Troon Golf course to Prestwick sea front finishing at Prestwick Railway Station by 5.30pm.
