Overview

Start your walk with a bacon butty at Lydford Nicholl's Hall before setting off out to Sourton Tor via High Down and along the River Lyd.  After lunch we come back under Lake Viaduct and along the West Devon Way to re-enter Lydford via the back lanes, 11miles. A shorter, 6.5 mile walk, leaves at Nodden Ford to return via Fernworthy Down and the back lanes into Lydford.  Lanes and old tracks, moorland paths with a couple of short road sections . A stream crossing on each of the walks.
