Overview

 The intriguing story of Scammonden Cotton Spinning Mill which was built but never operated.

The mill was 100 ft in height and covered six floors and work began in 1861 and completed in 1865.

The top of Black Brook (a favourite of Jo's) and its path is a beautiful walk and is known as the Ghost Mill Walk
