We are the Darlington Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We cross the Tees over Silver Bridge to take a short section of the Teesdale Way then take the footpath to meet the Tees Railway Path which we follow to cross the River Balder. We leave the Railway Path to head East towards Cotherstone crossing back over the Balder at Balder Bridge. We don't actually go into Cotherstone but cross back over the Tees where we will have lunch on the river bank then it's back to Barnie on the Teesdale Way

While we are experiencing sometimes challenging wintry weather conditions, it’s especially important for us to follow walk leaders’ directions and advice. In particular, on a group walk we should stay behind the leader and not assume that we know the route ahead. If we stay together after crossing a stile, and so on, until the leader is ready to carry on, we can all support her or him to ensure we all have a safe and enjoyable walk.
