We are the Somer Valley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Ridges, Valleys and Woods. Views of the Wiltshire Downs (on a clear day) , then via Combe Hay, following the routes of old railways through Midford to the viaduct near Tucking Mill. Railways, a classic film and walks all combine here. Then a climb back up to Odd Down via Southstoke, with Mendip views ( on that clear day). There is relatively little ascent apart from that.
Please bring a light picnic lunch and a drink
Wear suitable footwear
Note: we are walking from the P & R car park and NOT catching a bus.
Car park costs £2.00 for all day parking when not catching a bus. Pay by card or with coins.
