The walk starts at Bridge of Orchy car park. Crossing the road, we head up through Station Road, through tunnel to meet WHW. Continue past telephone mast then its a fairly straight forward path to follow, beside the burn, climbing steadily till about 500 metres and the Bealach, which separates the two munros. The last 500 metres is rocky and rubbly. Good boots and poles required, especially for the descent. Once reaching the Bealach there is some climbing and scrambling over large slabs, till we reach a grassy climb up to more rocky parts, then left to a path that takes us to the summit. There will be two breaks depending on weather and the beasties. Descending to the Bealach we may continue on to Beinn an Dothaidh if the group would like to, or back down to our starting point.
This walk is weather dependent. Boots, poles and appropriate clothing essential. The route to the second munro is not too difficult but wet underfoot, and would requires a couple of hours. This can be a decision for the group on the day. Both munros would require approximately 7 hours for a group. Travel is on A roads, 170 miles round journey, via Erskine Bridge, Tarbet, Crainlarich, destination Bridge of Orchy. Car sharing recommended due to the distance.
