We are the Bearsden & Milngavie Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
It is a steep-sided hill with much forestry plantation on its flanks but from the moorland above there are stunning views to Loch Lubnaig, Loch Voil, Loch Earn etc. Steep paths up and down through the forest, muddy in places, followed by an often boggy moorland section with intermittent paths, then steep back down to forestry roads. The path up is easier than it used to be however! A good circular hill walk for a short winter’s day, but rather rough and tough in parts.
For those who want to car share please meet at Milngavie Station Car Park for an 08.30 departure.

Milngavie Station free carpark. For those who wish to carshare, the petrol contribution is £8.
The Broch/Strathyre Community car park, A84 Strathyre, which is a free car park but donations are welcome. We suggest the group parks in the spaces furthest from the entrance. Please let Fiona know if you are going directly to the start.
