We are the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Moderate to brisk paced 14.5 mile walk with one (optional) steep climb.
No drop-out points except by taxi.
Route: Alice Holt Forest, Batt’s Corner, Frensham Manor, Frensham Great Pond, Crosswater, The Devil’s Jumps, The Flashes, Frensham Common, Frensham, Spreakley, West End Lane, Alice Holt Forest. Rolling terrain, woods, sandy heaths, only one steep climb, up the Devil’s Jumps, optional but recommended for the view.
Lunch: Picnic - but stops will be made at the Alice Holt Forest Visitor Centre and the Frensham Pond Hotel.
Meet at Bentley Station at 10.02.
Travel: Waterloo 08.54/Clapham Junction 09.01/Surbiton 09.12 /Woking 09.30 (direct -Alton service) arr Bentley 10.02; Or Waterloo 09.00/Woking 09.24 (Portsmouth Harbour service) changing at Woking to 09.30 Alton train. Check trains day before.
Ticket/Fare: Off-Peak Day Return to Bentley (Hants).
