We are the Rushcliffe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The best woods for hunting were given to Nell Gwynn by Charles II and it’s where we’ll be for our New Year’s Day walk. We’ll start at the free car park near to Bestwood Lodge Hotel and head through the Woods to Mill Lakes returning through woodland. Mostly good tracks and pavements with hills and a little mud, no stiles. We’ll have one coffee/snack/lunch stop. Bookable.
Join members of the group in Bestwood Lodge Hotel for a drink after the walk.

Parking is in the free car park on Bestwood Lodge Drive, near to Bestwood Lodge Hotel but not in the hotel car park.
From Mansfield Road, travelling north, turn left into Oxclose Lane. At the junction of Queens Bower Road, traffic lights, turn right, then fairly soon right again into Bestwood Lodge Drive. Follow this road. At the fork in the road go right continuing on Bestwood Lodge Drive. The car park is on the right not far from the fork in the road. The post code for Bestwood Lodge Hotel is NG5 8PD.
