If you have a bus pass, here is your chance to use it!
This walk replaces the same walk scheduled for 15th April which was cancelled due to a wet weather forecast.
A shorter walk than usual but with the potential of a cafe at the end. We will meet in Llandygai, take the bus to Bethesda. The walk back will follow paths over moorland, passing an interesting quarry, along the Slate Trail and through woodland beside the river Ogwen.
The spring is a really great time to take this walk as the flowers and trees will b at their very best!
The walk is 7 miles with 330 metres (1080 feet) of ascent and will take about 4.5 hours.
Unfortunately this walk is not suitable for dogs because of livestock.
Please aim to arrive by 9:45am. We need to park cars and be ready to walk to the nearby bus stop at 10:00am - with your bus pass if you have one. The T10 bus leaves at 10:16am. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. There are public toilets in Bethesda where we will start the walk.
At the end there is the potential for taking refreshments at the Mixopoly cafe at Bangor cricket club just a short drive/walk from the parking place.
Booking is requested - please text me Dave M on 07908 128768 and I will confirm your place. Please advise me if you would find it more convenient to join the walk in Bethesda so I can tell you where to meet the group. Also please advise me if you are likely to want refreshments so I can inform the cafe of numbers.
