Paul is leading a 10 mile easy walk.
Starting from the car park of the Brierley Hill Hop House we will head along the canal away from the Merryhill centre towards Netherton, we will turn at the canal basin and come back along the other arm of the canal, We will climb the hill up the hill to Netherton church before dropping down into Netherton for our first pub The Swan or Ma Pardoe's as its known locally. After having our first drink we will leave the pub along the road rejoining the canal where we join Netherton Reservoir dropping down through Saltwells nature reserve where will go to our second pub The Saltwells. After refreshment we will then head towards the Hollybush in Cradley Heath going through Mushroom Green. Then to the Waggon and Horses in Redall Hill.Heading again through Mushroom Green we will head towards Cradley Heath train station where we will then head into Quarry Bank to the White Horse. We will then head up towards Stevens park passing by the Thorns High school. We will join the Delph run starting with the Bull and Bladder, The Black Horse and the Tenth lock. We will then head back along the canal climbing Delph locks to Merryhill where we can either go into Wetherspoons or the Brierley Hop House or both.
Please arrive at 10:45 for a 11:00 start.
