Overview

West Mendip Walkers moderate 12mile circular walk from Blagdon (BS40 7RL). This is a moderate circular walk around Blagdon Lake to Blackdown and back. From Blagdon, the walk crosses the reservoir dam before eventually entering minor roads to Nempnett Thrubwell.  From there, the route descends to Compton Martin before ascending again towards the Charterhouse area and on to Blackdown. Two gradual ascents of approximately 80m (264ft)  each and one sharp ascent at Compton Martin of 160m (530ft).
