We are the Eastwood Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Beautiful pastoral walk starting at Blanefield, near military monument. Takes us along part of the West Highland Way, edging along Killearn and back by the pipe track. Two hours in, stop at Turnip the Beet where you can either buy some lunch or eat your own outside. Continue on to Killearn and stop for a break. Then complete the walk. Will take approx 6 hours if we keep a good pace.
Local walk grade B+
First part of the walk is very boggy at the moment. Come prepared.
According to Rome2Rio, there is a bus every hour from Rose Street to Blanefield. Best to check times with bus company. Could take 50 mins.
Clarkston Halls car park
Car park at church off main street in Blanefield. Turn up Campsie Dean Road, beside the military monument on the right. Then turn into the church grounds. Donations for parking.
