Overview

We will circumnavigate Blidworth Wood for 4.5 miles before crossing Longdale Lane to reach Papplewick Pumping Station. The walk then takes us through Sansom Wood, across the disused Bestwood to Calverton Pit railway line to follow The Robin Hood Way into Burnt Stump Country Park for lunch. After walking round the park, we will re-enter Sansom Woods and walk back to the start. Dry forestry tracks and some short climbs.
