Overview

This circular walk of 5.5 miles will take us from The Blind Fiddler PH at Anstey to Great Hormead and back, visiting a Motte and Bailey and a Black Ditch en route.

Please note the slightly later than usual start time of 10.15 a.m., intended to avoid the busiest time for lunch upon our return and to recognize the slightly longer journey time to the start point from Uttlesford.

Would Ramblers intending to join the walk leader for lunch please arrive sufficiently early to pre-order their food at the pub prior to the start of the walk.
