Overview

Our walk starts from the Vicar Water Country Park car park (on the site of what was Clipstone Colliery). We head west and then north out of the park and to reach the River Maun, which we follow downstream towards Kings Clipstone. Here we should be able to see the remains of King John's Palace and we will stop for lunch. We then follow Vicar Water all the way back to the country park.
