The 'Greenway' links Arborfield to Finchampstead via California Country Park, where we can stop to have coffee / early lunch at the Dream Cafe.  We walk through the new SANGS (Suitable Accessible Natural Green Spaces) and the “Everglades”, around beautiful wildlife lakes, streams, sump and habitat ponds, through woods & water meadows along broad walks.  We’ll see a reptile hibivarium and a bat barn and some of the refurbished stables used during the Boer & First World Wars when the Garrison was a horse hospital.
