We are the Mid Berks Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Mid Berks will plan to leave the hotel at 9:45 in order to drive to the start of the walk and set off at approximately 10:15
The walk starts from the car park at Beeston Castle, which is free for English Heritage members and £3 otherwise.
This walk is moderate with some steady climbs with a total of 600ft of elevation.
It takes in a stretch of the Sandstone Trail mainly through the Peckforton estate and then along quiet lanes and fields allowing fine views of both Beeston and Peckforton Castles as well as views over the Cheshire Plain as far as Jodrell Bank.
