We are the Calderdale Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A lovely, leisurely walk through some of Calderdale's historic settlements. This is a gently undulating walk over roads and tracks with good views over the Calder valley.
This is a suitable walk for beginners.
Please note that there is no public transport to Sowerby village on Sundays, so please carshare, or walk up the hill from Sowerby Bridge where bus and trains are available. Contact the leader for further information.
This is a winter walk so waterproof clothing and boots are recommended. Bring a packed lunch and a warm drink.
Sowerby Bridge boasts a number of pubs and restaurants for post-walk refreshments.
Meet at St Peter's church in Sowerby village. There is no specific car park but parking can be found along the roadside through the village.
