We are the Wyre Forest Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join me on a 6 mile Ramble around Sutton Park where I grew up as a child... many, many years ago !
Starting from the car park immediately adjacent to the Wyndley Leisure Centre Swimming Pool, we will walk past Wyndley Pool into the park, heading out towards Powells Pool and passing Boldmere Golf Club upto Longmoor Pool.
Following the edge of Westwood Coppice, we will pick up the Old Cinder Path onto Baden Powells Jamboree Memorial Stone, then around Blackroot Pool and the Boat House, returning to the start point at the rear of the Leisure Centre.
The route may have to vary slightly if the weather conditions impact the Ford, or if areas become impassable.
This will be a moderately paced walk and is dog friendly.
Please bring a snack and drink if required during a stop or two.
As always, you will take part in this walk at your own risk, however, the walk is nearly all on traffic free roads within the Park confines.
