Overview

Starting from the picturesque village of Braughing, the walk heads east then turns north along the Hertfordshire Way for several miles before passing through Little Hormead and on to Hare Street for lunch and a brief pub stop. The route then turns south back to Braughing. The walk is a mixture of open fields with wide views, woodlands and gently rolling terrain.

The walk leader is Paul, 07506 210016.

Please bring a packed lunch and drink.

Brief pub stop for drink.

Optional car share from Barnet: Victor's Way Car Park, EN5 5TR, leaving 09:00 (26 miles).

Please be prepared for the following:

1. The morning section before the lunch stop is 7 miles from the start and lunch will therefore be late.

2. Due to recent wet weather, the ground is very muddy in places which serves to make the walk considerably slower than would otherwise be the case.
