We are the Rutland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
These two 5.5 mile walks are the Leicestershire and Rutland Area walk for 2024.
The 10:00am walk heads north west towards Flitteriss Park Farm. We then turn south west towards Preston Lodge. A brief southerly section then turns north east to return to Braunston via South Lodge Farm. There will be a coffee stop during the walk.
The morning walk is a bit more strenuous than the afternoon walk if you’re thinking of only doing one of the walks. Both walks have good view points over the surrounding countryside.
There are a number of stiles.
Some of the fields are expected to contain livestock so dogs must be on leads, and under close control, at all times
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the morning to check the walk is still on.
