Please RSVP using the green 'register' button at https://surreyyoungwalkers.org.uk/walk-detail.php?id=1969
We will start by heading South towards the plantation and Box Hill, going along here is a bit steep so be careful. Luckily afterwards we even out and walk smoothly over the River Mole, crossing the road to walk through the golf course.
At the 5 mile mark we will arrive in Brockham Green for some lunch, there is also a pub if you want a drink and a corner shop if you need anything.
Once done, we will continue into the Betchworth farmland and carry on until we reach Park Pit and Shag Brook (yes, really), the 7.5 mile mark, before going around the Reigate Heath golf course and the Heath itself.
At the end of Flanchford Road, we shall pass over the railway bridge and past the Rugby Club before reaching the bottom of Colley Hill. This will be the last climb of the day.
At the top, we just follow the main path until Watson's Wood where we turn to Dorking Road and cross it to finish off with Herring Grove.
PLEASE NOTE: in case the car park fills up quickly, please arrive as soon as possible and car share if you can. For payment, the car park is National Trust, you can scan your card to get an all day ticket for free. Coins can be used too, but it is £6 for a day (yes, I know). You can also use the 'paybyphone' app for this car park.
