We are the Tamworth and Lichfield Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Brocton Field we strike out east across open moorland, then down to cross the Sher Brook. We continue NE, descending along woodland paths through Abraham's Valley, then westwards through more open country before crossing the stepping stones at the Sher Brook ford. There is a short climb up Oat Hill before turning back along the Heart of England Way and the Two Saints Way to reach the car park. This is a circular walk suitable for dogs, as there are no stiles.
You are welcome to bring your dog, on condition that they stay on a lead and that you clean up after them. Since car sharing is not feasible with a dog you would need to contact the leader to ascertain the walk start location and make your own way there.
Meet at the Lichfield College car park, off the Friary, at 9.00 am for car sharing.
