Overview

We will meet at the church in Burghclere  (469611) and there is handy parking outside. Car share if you can. This will be a gentle walk across farmland and woodlands with some stiles but mostly flat but does involve crossing some main roads and walking along some minor ones.   We will walk NW towards the Ox Drove and then NW along the edge of the old railway cutting, cross the B4640 and on towards Tot Hill Farm through the lovely sweet chestnut woods. We will then carefully re-cross the main road and walk back to the Ox Dove and NE to the Ford  on the edge of Herbert's Plantation. We will find a way across this old wood and emerge on the minor road leading to Aldern Bridge, then down to Adbury farm, across the fields to Primrose Cottages, along the road south to pick up the Brenda Parker Way due west back to Burghclere.
