We are the Devon Bootlegs Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from the car park, we head up to Down Tor for good views of Burrator reservoir. Then we head on to a long stone row using the the direction of the row to head towards Nun's Cross. There we walk on to Devonport Leat and follow this to Crazywell Pool. Here we will stop for a break and a swim for those who wish (don't forget your cozzie, budgie smugglers and mankinis!).
Continuing along the leat we cross the aqueduct to the edge of the Stanlake Plantation, from where we venture on to Sharpitor and Leather Tor (An opportunity for the bravehearted to climb the ridge on Leather Tor).
We then descend to the leat, through the woods with more lovely views of the reservoir. We then go down to Burrator Reservoir which we follow around before we climb up Sheeps Tor, where we enjoy yet more views of the reservoir.
