We are the Solihull Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Circular walk from Burton Dassett Country Park to Farnborough heading out via Fenny Compton and back via Avon Dassett. This goes from the Burton Dassett hills primarily across fields and farmland with a stretch along the Oxford Canal.
10.5 Miles, fairly good paths with some hills. Toilets close to start and end which we will walk past.
If you would like to car share, we are meeting at Lady Byron Lane, Knowle (Old Warwick Road) Solihull B93 9AG (near J5 of the M42) for a departure time of 09:00 am. Lifts are subject to availability. This is a round trip of approx. 60 miles and a voluntary donation of £6 is considered to be a reasonable contribution towards the costs incurred by the driver.
Start: Burton Dassett Country Park Beacon carpark, CV47 2AB. Charge is 3.30 for day credit card payment only. Postcode will take you through the park to another entrance, do not follow that all through the park but follow directions to Beacon carpark, taking road on left.
