There are lots of variety in this circular walk to the east of Buxton, with dramatic limestone scenery, a section of the Monsal Trail, some industrial heritage, rolling farmland, and a large working
quarry.

Fairly strenuous as it’s a full day out. It will be muddy in places, with some very uneven paths, a few stepping stones, and a small bit of clambering over rocks. It’s a mixture of undulating terrain, with some steeper short ascents and descents.

Do bring plenty of food and water to keep you going, as there are no shops or bail out points on the way round.
