Overview

We cross the A49 to walk under Helmuth Hill and climb the dragon’s back of Caer Caradoc via Three Fingers Rock. From the end of this ridge, which is a mountain in miniature, paths lead to Hope Bowdler Hill. We return to town around Hazler Hill. Open hillsides exposed in poor weather, some woodland and roads in and out of town. Good views toward the Long Mynd. Tracks and field paths underfoot. The initial ascent of 800 feet is followed by a gentler ascent of 300 feet.
