The walk starts from Chanlockfoot Farm with a short stretch of road walking. We walk through a wood to the open hillside where we follow a path steeply uphill to the large cairn at the top of Cairnkinna. 554 metres. We cross a rough moorland area before we descend steeply back to the road at the end of the glen, crossing the road and passing some farms before going over the river Scaur and then ascending the hills of the other side of the glen. It is another steep ascent to the summit of Craig Dasher 450 metres. We walk along a nice airy undulating ridge before we finally go down to a short section of road and back to the cars. Good views of the Scaur valley.
