Walsall Group of Ramblers has been around since 1992 and in that time we've introduced many people to the joys and benefits of walking with the Ramblers
A walk in the South Derbyshire countryside taking in lovely views of Staunton Hall and then onto the beautiful town of Melbourne for our lunch stop. We then walk to Staunton Harold Reservoir and finish with a walk through the grounds of Calke Abbey. Joint walk with Sandwell Ramblers and Wolverhampton Ramblers.
We leave the meeting point in Walsall promptly at 09:00am. The start time is the time the actual walk is due to start.
We regret we cannot allow dogs other than assistance dogs on weekend Walsall Group walks.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves.
All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
Booking is not necessary for this walk.
Walkers will need a packed lunch.

Dimminsdale car park, Calke, Derbyshire (but the car park is in Leicestershire). A461 to Muckley Corner, A5 through Tamworth to M42, M42 north (signed Nottingham), continue onto A42, turn off at A511 junction and take first exit (A511 Ashby), at next island turn R onto B587 (Melbourne), at staggered crossroads turn L to stay on B587 (Melbourne), turn L at Calke sign and find CP on L after LH bend.
