The walk will be at a moderate pace and I’ll be using canal towpaths as much as possible.
There are toilets in the shopping mall next to the station (at same level as ticket barriers), which are usually open. Please use them before joining the walk. More toilets should be available in Victoria Park.
From Canary Wharf Station we will walk down to the river, at Canary Wharf Pier, and then use the Thames Path (and some roads), through Limehouse to the start of the Regents Canal. From there we’ll walk alongside the canal to Angel station. There are some interesting sights, along the way, and I’ll share some information about the ones I know. Lunch (30 minutes) will be taken somewhere along the towpath, so please bring a packed lunch (I’ll aim for sometime between 12 and 1pm, for lunch).
There are potential drop out points along the way, with regular bus services close to the towpath, and train/tube/DLR stations not too far from the path. All within the Oyster/Freedom Pass area.
