We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is an undulating route with 1000ft of ascent and descent.
From Lordstones car park, we walk South a short way along the road before turning right to go past Thwaites House, Staindale and on to Raisdale Mill. We take a short loop around Stone Intake, then proceed along Mill Lane towards Brian’s Pond and return to Lordstones via tracks on Bilsdale West Moor.
There were 3 stiles on the route and there are two short sections on the road where care must be exercised. It is mostly on field and moorland tracks, but there are some rougher paths, with the possibility of it being wet underfoot in places, but ( if the weather is kind to us) there are lovely views along the way.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy. Assistance dogs only.
Use car park at Lordstones cafe/restaurant where you can by refreshments before the walk (please allow time to be served).
