We start from the long layby at the base of Trfyn. The route then follows the stream and waterfalls up to the short, grade one scramble onto Pen yr Ole Wen. From here we walk along the ridge to Carnedd Dayfed, and Carnedd Llewelyn then dropping down for an easy grade one scramble over the Craigs and the drop-down slab before heading up another easy grade one scramble up onto Pen yr Helgi Du. Then the nice walk down the grass slope to the road, and crossing over through the campsite and back to the start.
