Overview

A walk through local countryside to Ardleigh and return via the Essex Way from Dedham. Picnic lunch. We aim to return to Lawford Church in time to take part in the Annual Hikers and Bikers of Essex and Suffolk Carol Service.  The service starts at 3pm with Hot drinks and biscuits served from 2.30pm.

The walk is on a mix of hard surfaces and cross country paths, the latter were muddy on the walkout but it was raining!

Please park on the grass verges in front of Lawford Hall (drive through the gateway marked Private as you pass the church on the right). This is to allow the church car park to be used by church goers for the morning service. We will meet and walk from the parking area in front of the Hall.
