Overview

From Herbertshire Castle car park we follow the Glen Carron path until it abruptly ends and we will return with a couple of “short loops” on the route. This scenic undulating riverside walk has some short steep ascents/descents (which can be taken slowly for C+ walkers), with 2 very narrow sections (both require only 2 footsteps). Points of interest are a Salmon Ladder and a 450 year old Spanish Chestnut tree. Walking poles are recommended.
