This is an easy, dog-friendly walk with no stiles. The route includes the Chasewater reservoir, disused railway path and parts of the Wyrley & Essington canal. There are steps up to and down from the canal towpath. Toilets and refreshments available at the Chasewater Visitor Centre, but please bring a packed lunch.
You are welcome to bring your pet on condition that they stay on a lead, and that you clean up after your animal. Since car sharing is not feasible with a dog you would need to contact the leader to ascertain the walk start location and make your own way there.
Meet at the Lichfield College car park, off the Friary, at 9.30 am for car sharing. There is a parking charge of £2 for the whole day.
The starting point shown is an approximate location only. Anyone wanting to drive direct to the starting point without meeting at the Lichfield College car park beforehand is advised to contact the walk leader for details of the exact location and parking arrangements.
