Overview

The walk begins at the Chatelherault Visitor Centre (open 1000-1700), along good quality woodland paths, taking in the the gorge above the river Avon and including the heritage trail to Low Parks.

There are some steps up and down close to the river Avon, otherwise little ascent. The outward section includes the Duke's monument, some urban Hamilton to the Low Parks museum. The return section includes the Hamilton Mausoleum, the Avon/Clyde river junction, the Old Avon Bridge
