Overview

A stroll around the villages of Checkendon, Heath End, Wyfold Court and Stoke Row. Starting from The Black Horse Pub in Checkendon (nearest Post Code RG8 0TE, What3words lunged.topped.doses). The walk is a mixture of level, rising and falling terrain. There is a significant short but sharp climb. There are 2 stiles. The entrance to the Black Horse is easily missed and a Pang Valley sign will be placed on Uxmore Road. This is a walk with a mixture of landscapes including quiet villages, cooling woodland and open fields and meadows. If you are not planning to eat at the Black Horse (food is very basic) then continue on into the wooded lane where verge parking is plentiful.
