Overview

BOOKING REQUIRED to receive last minute updates.

The walk starts from Ashworth Reservoir on Edenfield Road. We will walk along the Rochdale Way down to Simpson’s Clough and then make our way back above Cheesden Brook, down to Deeply Vale and on past the ruins of Lumb Mill and up to the reservoir and car park.  Risk assessment: The route is very muddy and there are some sections of the Rochdale Way that are narrow and close to Naden Brook. A section along Cheesden Brook has branches and watery inlets to negotiate. Cattle in Deeply Vale.
