We will be parking on the roadside by St John the Baptist church. Main Street, Chelmorton SK17 9SN.
We will start the walk with a steep climb above the church looking down on its spire, topped with a golden locust, is the highest in England. We will pass the start on the stream that provided constant supply of fresh water known as ‘Illy Willy Water’
The rest of the walk will be over moorland, fields tracks on roads and Slough, Green and Highstool Lanes with great views over the surrounding countryside. The end of the walk will be along the linear village street through the listed, medieval strips.
